We find ourselves once again at the start of a new adventure. Depending on your personal orientation, you’ll likely project optimism or worry on what may lie ahead. The New Moon at 15° Sagittarius, is asking us to aim for the light of inspiration. It will arrive on December 6th at 11:20 pm PST.

Sagittarius is expansion through new experiences. The traveler, the apprentice, or the philosopher are all ways this sign can manifest. When we are deeply connected to the Sagittarian archetype, we’re attempting to construct a belief system or perspective on how the world works, based on what we’ve been through.

And….this year has been a struggle to maintain faith and optimism.

Wildfires, volcanic activity, earthquakes, droughts and political turbulence were all featured. Even if you personally had a great year, you likely saw friends and family move through separation, loss, or grief. We’ve had to dig deeper than we’ve ever had before. Actually taking the time to peer into the shadows of our psychology.

Now with the New Moon in Sagittarius, we have an opportunity to update our belief systems (based on what we learned) and to prepare for new experiences.

That’s where Jupiter has your back. Happier, more inspired times are ahead. This is because Jupiter recently moved into its home sign of Sagittarius. Instead of digging deep, we are aiming high. Watch as an invitation towards lightness and joy moves more easily throughout your life.

There is a downside. With Jupiter in Sagittarius overconfidence, over indulgence, and inflexibility around beliefs are also likely to play out.

New Moon square Mars-Neptune conjunction

Mars and Neptune in Pisces are prominent participants in this New Moon. Neptune sensitize or spiritualize everything it touches. Conjunct Mars, you are likely to experience drains on your energy and/or an emotional rawness. You may not feel a great deal of enthusiasm to get going on the journey ahead.

It’s okay. Know that stillness is part of the journey too. Seek the light of inspiration from inside of you. Deep within a place of stillness. Action will naturally result, no need to control how and when it happens.

Mars-Neptune in Pisces is also all about connection. It’s that feeling we get when we’re in meditation, prayer, or connected to a higher form of Love. It’s the feeling of oneness.

We’ve spent most of the summer and fall detaching from relationships that no longer serve our highest good. With the Mars-Neptune squaring the New Moon, we may feel the depths of loneliness that we’ve been trying to avoid. You are never truly alone. Aim for the light of connection, however you can.

Have an inspired New Moon.
