Typically New Moons bring in fresh optimistic energy. They revive our spirits and fill us with confidence to move forward. Thursday’s New Moon (and partial solar eclipse) at 20° Cancer is not so straight forward. We’ll face a tense opposition to Pluto in Capricorn, before we can experience the new emotional opportunity on offer at this time.
Part of Pluto’s journey through Capricorn since 2008 has been about showing us where we’ve too easily given up our personal power. On a collective level, the leaders and institutions we’ve counted on to be the grown-ups in the room, have failed us. On a personal level, relationships, jobs, or a way of life that we thought would keep us safe has also failed us. Before we can rebuild our personal power, we need to clear the emotional debris that got us here. This is not a small task, but as we make our way through to the other end, we will simultaneously grow into a new emotional set point.
The New Moon is joined by a grand earth trine, ensuring that you have in place the physical support you need to move through that emotional debris. This grand trine is like the protective shell needed to feel okay about disconnecting from what is happening out there so you can tend to what’s happening in your inner world. The good friend that (if asked) can make you soup and clean your house, while you heal from the flu.
Here are the planets involved in this beneficial, pragmatic, and reliable earth trine and how they can possibly support you over the next week or two:
Venus in Virgo is providing us with the ability to discern those in our family and community that can provide love and connection that serves a practical purpose. We all need people in our lives that can show-up for us during tough times which also includes helping us move to a new apartment, cat-sit (even when they’re terrified of cats), or drive us to an interview when our car unexpectedly breaks down. Venus in Virgo will help us find those people.
Saturn in Capricorn is providing a boost of emotional self-discipline. Saturn represents that aspect of us that can move through the difficult things alone and the one that knows when an indulgence has crept into the realm of overindulgence. Tapping us into the healthy adult inside of us.
Uranus in Taurus is providing you with a surprise manifestation. Something may come together in a unique way that you didn’t know you needed. Look to the house with Taurus on the cusp for clues for what the surprise may entail.
Although a confident new start is less likely this New Moon, remember your ability to handle your internal felt experience will come with time.
