Full moons are wonderful teachers.

They help us practice holding and integrating two seemingly opposite energies.

Sunday’s Full Moon at 9° Scorpio will be either extra intense or a welcome reprieve. It is capping off a week of volatility, reflected in the sky as a Mars-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn. This Full Moon is asking us to confront our emotional self (the Moon) and our egoic self (the Sun) at this point in time.

When we confront ourselves something has to give.

The Full Moon will help us release deep emotions that have been stewing for months. Deep fears about your future security, old patterns of self-sabotage, and frustration around unfulfilled needs are some of the topics that may be up for us at this time. Whatever comes up, it will be messy and demand your attention. Scorpio is that alert awareness you experience when you come face to face with life or death.

There’s more….

Grief for the life we thought we would have and how success would come to us, may also be at play. The universe has another plan and it’s waiting for us to get on board. It’s okay to mourn what we believe we’ve lost. As long as we eventually find the courage to move into the uncertainty despite our discomfort.

However you safely process deep feelings at this time, remember to do so kindly and gently.

This brings us to that opposite energy I mentioned earlier.

With the Sun in the opposite sign of Taurus, we also being called to pay attention to our physical well-being. All of the psychological process that may be brought on by the Scorpio Moon needs to be balanced with an equal attention to what may manifest physically. Rashes, headaches, dizziness, and upset stomachs are some acute examples of deep emotions manifested physically.

The Sun in Taurus will remind us that we have a body. It’s important to take care of the body so that it can sustain us. During this time, ask yourself:

Am I getting enough rest?

Am I drinking enough water?

Am I eating healthfully?

Am I moving my body with ease and pleasure?

This too is part of the deep emotional release needed during the Full Moon. If connecting to your body’s needs is a challenge (I’m looking at you Air signs), find a Taurus friend and observe these masters in action.

Let’s recap. To navigate this upcoming Scorpio Full Moon, give your intense feelings space to be felt and support your body with what it needs to thrive.

You’ve got this!
